Ten Little Strollers

Twenty two Strollers on a sunny day

Out to walk some miles along the Eddisbury Way.

Green fields, and good company we were having fun

 Till two tripped on brambles but bravely carried on.

 

One mile along the footpath Pat had parked her car,

Rest and coffee beckoned and ten walked no more.

Down the road to Oscroft we were walking, when

One got cramp so two turned back and then there were ten.

 

Back along a footpath climbing stiles and gate,

Two took a short cut back, and then there were eight.

Eight little Strollers as we chat and mix,

Road and track divided and then there were six.

 

Twenty two Strollers reached the Royal Oak.

Fifteen went in for lunch, the others drove back home
